Watson's Family Leisure

Over our 40 year history the Watson’s name has become synonymous with swimming pools and spas. But during that time we have added several new product categories, including pool tables, bars, barstools, patio furniture and more! Watson’s has evolved into a full line leisure store, so for the past few years we have been looking for a name that better describes who we are and what we have to offer.

Watson’s has always been about family fun and family togetherness. We believe that the name Family Leisure supplies the perfect identity for us and is a name that will carry us into the future as we continue to offer merchandise that promotes a family-focused leisure lifestyle.

Family Leisure began in 1965 as J & J Distributing Company, a vending machine distributor near downtown Cincinnati. In 1969, J & J Distributing Company started selling swimming pools and pool tables and soon became the city's largest pool store. As years passed and additional product lines were added, the company changed its name to reflect its founder, William Watson.

Throughout the company's history, Watson's has continually made changes and improvements in its store and product line to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. One of these recent changes involved changing our name from Watson's to Family Leisure. Family Leisure more clearly represents the products we offer.
